Our Month of Prayer is running throughout January 2022. At the start of the new year we’re making a choice together, to put God first and to seek Him so that everything else flows from Him. Over the course of a few weeks, we’re going to be praying for a variety of topics and areas of church life and we’d love you to join us on that journey. All the information you need to help you engage with our Month of Prayer can be found below.
The Booklet
We’ve produced a booklet to help everyone journey this month together. It includes a message from the Grace Connection leadership team, the daily devotional plan, tips on helping kids pray, and lots more! Many of you will have had a physical copy in the post but you can also access a digital version using the button below.
Video Devotionals
Every day during January, starting from Sunday 2nd, there will be a video devotional available on the Grace Connection YouTube channel. These videos, featuring leaders from across our UK churches as well as some guest speakers, are designed to give you some inspiration to help you pray using the scripture for that day. Fasting
We’d love you to consider fasting at some point during the month if you are able to. You may have never fasted before, but it’s a Biblical practice designed to draw us closer to God as we spend more time with Him. It’s something that we can all grow in and works perfectly as part of a month like this. What’s on?
We’ve designed the month in such a way that different churches can engage with it in a way that suits them. Practically, that means there’s lots of space in the first few weeks of the month for churches to do their own events, followed by a handful of online Grace Connection events for everyone. Here’s what’s happening in that final week:
Prayer Meeting - Wednesday 26th Jan at 8pm, on Zoom
Prayer for the Nations - Thursday 27th Jan at 8pm, on Zoom
24 Hours of Prayer - Sunday 30th Jan, 12am through to 11:59pm (with optional Zoom call)
All of these gatherings are hosted on Zoom, all using the same Zoom details (which can be found in the booklet). You can access them all using the following address: graceconnection.co.uk/zoom or using the button below.
24 Hours of Prayer
You’ll see in our ‘What’s on?’ section that we’ll be bringing our Month of Prayer to a close by dedicating the whole of that final Sunday in prayer to God. Our aim is to cover those 24 hours with prayer from across our churches. To be part of it, we’d love you to book yourself a slot at graceconnection.co.uk/24hours. You don’t have to find a free slot, the joy of this is being able to join with others by booking into a slot with their name on it. We’re running a 24 hour Zoom call too so that you can actually pray together online. That call will be run on the same Zoom link as all the other events (link above).
There is no set agenda for these 24 hours, you can pray for whatever you want. We just want to create space for all of us to unite from across our cities and churches to pray.
